Change Points Us to Hope

Autumn reminds us that change is inevitable. Leaves turn color, temperatures drop, and daylight fades. In the same way, our lives move through shifting seasons – some refreshing and joyful, others heavy and difficult.

As followers of Christ, we face change with confidence because our hope is anchored in God, who never changes.

‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.’ Hebrews 13:8

God’s Word teaches that change is often His tool for growth. Change stretches our faith, drawing us closer to the One who sees the whole picture.

‘Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.’ James 1:2-3

Hope in God allows us to see change not as a threat, but as an invitation to trust Him more deeply. When life feels uncertain, we can lean on His unchanging character.

‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding …’ Proverbs 3:5
